for a way to give back for the holidays? Insatiable EATS prepares the ultimate
Farm-to-Feast Thanksgiving To-Go menus. For every order taken, Insatiable EATS
will feed a family in need. Insatiable EATS supports Citizens 4 Humanity, a
local volunteer group of “people helping people”. Citizens 4 Humanity has been providing holiday
meals to local East End single mother families in need since 2010.

Citizens 4 Humanity is a grass roots organization of Long Island.
Comprised of 100% volunteer efforts,
there has been great success in cooking and delivering meals directly to doors
of those in need. Celebrated Chef Marco Barrila spear heads all of the kitchen
efforts through his catering company Insatiable EATS. Complete gourmet meals of
whole roasted heritage turkeys, delicious side dishes and farm fresh pies are
prepared to perfection. The families receive a meal prepared by a Master chef and
are more appreciative than you can imagine.
Citizens 4 Humanity receives names of families through local
community groups, referrals and schools. There is a focus on single mother
families below the poverty line who make up more than 23% percent of the
population. Families are chosen based on greatest needs. Local donations
directly affect how many families will be fed. Through local support, Citizens
4 Humanity averages 20-25 meals per holiday. Many families are left out. More
support is needed. To donate a meal directly, locals can go online to
www.citizens4humanity.org or mail to PO Box 1448 Water Mill, New York 11976. All
donations go 100% towards the purchase of food. All efforts to produce the
meals are by local volunteers. Volunteers can contact Citizens 4 Humanity to
sign up for different tasks.
Due to the high cost of living and related food expenses, it is
very difficult for single moms to purchase food and to provide fresh meals for
their children. The food banks have shortages
and often provide limited boxed and canned foods. Through a network of local
farms, Insatiable EATS is able to get fresh ingredients to prepare the ultimate
Thanksgiving meal for these struggling families. Due to the high demand of meal requests,
Insatiable EATS matches every catering order by donating meals to those in need.
