After more than five years of catering Insatiable EATS in the Hamptons, Chef Marco Barrila will bring his unique culinary expertise to Blue Sky restaurant, Sag Harbor and its sophisticated diners. Marco is the newly appointed Executive Chef and was selected as top chef at the restaurant because of his "substantial experience in designing and executing exciting, creative and innovative menus." Blue Sky is the freshly minted Mediterranean restaurant poised on Main Street in the Hamptons historic waterfront village. Having prepared outstanding meals for the Hamptons elite, performing as executive chef for the HRH Resorts & Hospitality, performing as executive chef for the Ross School Concert Series among other leading Hampton events and catering to celebrities, Chef Marco Barrila comes to Sag Harbor with distinct culinary mastery. Now at home in his new kitchen, locals and visitors can experience the inventiveness and craft of an artist.
For those of you familiar with Marco's former NOI Bistro in Manhattan, don't expect a space driven strictly by the decor. Chef Marco is very particular about using the freshest ingredients, staying true to Long Island's heritage. Blue Sky's menu is a fine dining take on Long Island's seafood fare. And similar to his native Sicily, Chef Marco said that having a menu based heavily on seafood was a "no brainer". Blue Sky's ambiance is minimal, with an elegance that those who have spent any tme in Sag Harbor will immediately embrace. The interior gives one the feeling of a seafood market eatery, albeit, notched up to fine dining standards. Blue Sky hosts year round live musical entertainment. And for art seekers, the walls showcase rotating works by local artists that can be purchased to connect the idea of food and art and pleasure all tied together.
Blue Sky's midsize, private or semi-private dining room has warm colors and roaring brick floors. Quieter than the Main Dining Room, Blue Sky's Private Dining Room is the ideal setting for rehearsal dinners, larger scale cocktail and hors d'oeuvre receptions, holiday parties, corporate luncheons, family functions and cultural parties for up to 50 people. Blue Sky's Main Dining Room accomodates up to 150 people for standing receptions or cocktail parties, 75 people for a seated meal and is available seven days a week for brunch, lunch, dinner or cocktails.
